Who we are

West Berkshire Draughtbusters is a volunteer-run charity, registered with number 1200506. Our mission is to help people in or near fuel poverty improve the warmth of their homes.

What we do

We come to resident's homes, make an assessment and immediately start to fix cold draughts. Typically this means filling gaps around doors and windows, but we may deal with other problems as we find them. By reducing draughts, we make houses warmer and reduce heating bills

The team

Our team is made up entirely of volunteers who give their time for free. If you would like to join us, you do not need to be formally qualified, but visiting people's homes means you must be polite and have a reasonable level of DIY ability. We will give training on the specifics of what we do.

If you're able to give 2 hours after a training session, please get in touch through the Contact Us form

Supporters

We're grateful for the help of Reading Draughtbusters and the Volunteer Centre West Berkshire. We would also like to thank individual donors and the following organisations for their support:
